
Lake Saint-Cassien
A REFRESHING BREAK IN THE HEART OF THE VAR
Situated in the communes of Les Adrets-de-l’Estérel, Montauroux, Callian and Tanneron, Lac de Saint-Cassien is a real cool spot in the heart of the Var.
This lake is a man-made reservoir whose primary activity remains the production of electricity and the supply of drinking and agricultural water. It was created in the 1960s, following the terrible collapse of the Malpasset dam.
Practical information:
- An area of 420 hectares
- 7km long, 3km wide
- Fed by the waters of the Siagne and Biançon rivers
A wide range of activities is on offer. There are numerous water sports facilities all around the lake. You can hire a pedalo, kayak, paddle, sail or even a water scooter. Trampolines and bouncy castles are also available for the more adventurous.

In July and August, the Maison du Lac beach is supervised, ensuring safe swimming.
For more information, don’t hesitate to contact the reception staff at the Maison du Lac, a genuine tourist information office located on the shores of the lake. The Maison du Lac also has a discovery area and a local produce store. It also boasts a number of outdoor facilities, including ping-pong tables, a beach volleyball court, a boulodrome and a playground for youngsters.

Itinerary:
To get there from Les Adrets-de-l’Estérel, simply head towards the freeway. At the two traffic circles, continue straight ahead (2nd exit). You’ll soon arrive at the lake, where you can park at the Maison du Lac or in the parking lots of the various leisure facilities.
