A village steeped in history

People have been living in Puget sur Argens since prehistoric times, as is evidenced by Palaeolithic and Neolithic tools found on the site. In Roman times, the village, then called Pogito, prospered thanks to the Via Aurelia, which linked Rome to Gaul. Milestones and stone millstones, still visible today, bear witness to its rich past.
